An MT spout: "All of this for temporary, low-paying jobs while a few get rich off of cheap labor. All of those employed by tourism would be better off leaving the area and pursuing a better paying line of work." Once again, these comments are totally short-sighted and ignorant. How many people do the big box and large stores employ? How about the hospitals? How about builders? The increase in population, and consumer spending from May to September is the only reason that the majority of the population can keep their year-round jobs. Our year-round population could not sustain these businesses.
