A comment to a spout online about our engagement in Syria stated, "Everyone in this country that was in favor of going to war after the trade towers: You are all responsible, so remember that the next time you see kids walking around missing limbs. War mongers. Will you ever have enough?" I suppose the commenter does not remember Vietnam or the 58,000 American dead there. Thus far 6,800 Americans have died in Afghanistan and Iraq. Both are indicative of a foolish policy of "limited war." War knows no limits. If something is worth fighting for, it is worth winning the war, or stay home.
