North Wildwood - For years, the National Anthem has played at the Wildwood boardwalk at 11 a.m., creating a daily tradition at the popular summer destination. However, an electric problem at the boardwalk has disrupted that tradition as the National Anthem and other announcements were affected and no longer playing this week. The fiber optic lines that run in conduit under the boardwalk and control its sound system were damaged while work was being done there, city officials said.
