North Wildwood - We agree with a spouter about a food store doing away with self-checkout. There is no way we are going to wait in long lines all summer just to pay for a couple of items. The supposed 'quick' checkout is no better. We also liked the self-checkout because we could bag our own groceries, double-bagging when necessary. It seems like lately cashiers insist on bagging, using only one bag for heavy items such as canned goods and milk. This has resulted in ripped bags, spillage and broken glass all over our driveway.
