North Wildwood - The state of N.J. passed six common sense gun laws that will further tighten the state's strict gun laws. They include background checks at gun sales, lowering the magazine capacity to 10 rounds, and seizure of a firearm when a mental health physician determines that someone poses a threat. The state already bans assault weapons, like the AR-15, which is used in many school shootings. Statistics have proven that states with strict gun laws have lower gun deaths. N.J. has 5.5 gun deaths per 100,000 people, one of the lowest rates in the country. Great job, N.J.!
