North Wildwood - Special thanks to the North Wildwood fire and police departments for their quick actions on the night of July 16. At 3:30 a.m., our carbon monoxide detectors were activated. Capt. Michael Blizzard directed his team into action. They remained on the scene until 5 a.m. when they gave the all-clear sign. Luckily, it was not carbon monoxide, it was hydrogen gas coming from an electric golf cart parked in our garage. People, please be aware when charging your golf cart in a garage it must be well ventilated. Overcharged batteries can cause hydrogen gas to escape into the air.
