North Wildwood - Seeing the recent devastation in South Florida, both along the coasts and inland, I must be thankful for living here in Cape May County. We seem to be within a bubble that protects us from such devastation. Keep in mind that Key West is only 5 feet above sea level and has survived all these years despite facing many hurricanes. We have an Office of Emergency Management (OEM) team that is second to none, and multiple first responder agencies that are always at the ready. We have extreme weather at times, but overall, living here, we adapt well to the storms, knowing we are secure within our borders.
