North Wildwood - Regarding the "NW Rule" for EMS/Fire response: I am not questioning the extra fire personnel to assist EMS, which is understandable. I was questioning why take a ladder truck to assist EMS? The city of NW has an ample number of firefighters/EMTs on staff as well as an ample number of non-truck vehicles to drive to the scene for assistance. Use a fire car or the extra beach patrol trucks, but using a ladder truck is extra wear and tear on a very expensive apparatus which may be needed for a fire call on the opposite side of the island when being used for only extra manpower to assist EMS.
