North Wildwood - Puppy was a tiny 16-year-old Yorkie who was taken to the 1st street Pavilion by the seawall every day of the year for his walk. His owner Nick is a 80-year-old local man. They were the focus of attention by all the dog walkers and others.. Recently Puppy wandered a few feet away and was struck and killed by a vehicle leaving the beach. Nick lost his loving companion for 16 years. A small memorial was left by the sand with shells painted and flowers. One day they were gone. He checked with public works to no avail. He would have liked to have kept them. His advice is keep your dog leased.
