North Wildwood - Please help the turtles cross the road safely (May - July). They travel from the wetlands, across the road by instinct, to lay their eggs. If you see one, pick it up and put it on the other side of the road in the direction they are headed. There are several roads adjacent to the Wetlands where the turtles live. Unfortunately, Rt. 147 is a four-lane highway with a solid, concrete barrier in the middle, and goes right through the wetlands where the turtles live. It is certain death for these turtles unless good people can safely stop and save them.
