North Wildwood - Now that the countywide central dispatch (911) is about to be operational, I would hope communities throughout Cape May County sign on to the new service. The cost savings to the taxpayer would be paramount. There would be no reason to hire multiple dispatchers, paying salary, benefits, and perks that come with the job, and those who are worried about job security on one of our islands could get a job with the county. I am sure training would be second to none and several dispatchers would be working the center at the same time. Supervision would be constant and fewer mistakes would be made.
