North Wildwood - As a kid in the 60s and 70s, I loved waking up that first morning of summer vacation, hearing the seagulls before I even opened my eyes, smelling the ocean, and knowing I was at the shore. Early mornings on the screened in porch were great. You could smell bacon cooking somewhere and hear the kid going by on his bike shouting "Philadelphia Morning Inquirer, here! Daily News!" All the ladies on the block would come out to buy the paper in their housecoats and curlers. Dreaming of beach days and boardwalk nights. Please don't let the island continue to be overbuilt and cookie cutter.
