North Wildwood - It was nice to see a new fire chief sworn in, but not so nice to hear that the City of NW is basically taking out a $3 million mortgage to move sand. Calling the $3 million bond "Emergency Appropriations Beach Replenishment" is only going to get washed out to sea on the next storm, and is one of the reasons why our property taxes are so high for a small beach town. The taxpayers will still be paying off the bond long after there is no more beach on 3rd Street. Unless we have a major-named storm on the East Coast, the feds will not reimburse the city.
