North Wildwood - If global warming is going to produce flooding of biblical proportions, why are building permits, new construction and real estate transactions being permitted? We should be encouraging people to leave the barrier islands. No new businesses, no new houses. Then how would local governments pay for services? If what the experts say is true these governments are putting the lives of their citizens at risk. Better to allow more construction and taxpayers to pay for higher dunes, beach replenishment, pumps and equipment. This doesn't make sense if the experts are right.
