North Wildwood - I was born and raised deep in the heart of Appalachia. My dad worked 15 years in the mines before we finally moved up enough financially to be called poor. I left when I was 18 and have worked my way up over the last 35 years to be considered upper middle class. At no time did my whiteness ever earn me a privilege, anybody that is willing to work can improve their position. We moved to my families house in north wildwood that we have had for generations. It has changed a lot but we love the Jersey shore and will stay here forever.
