North Wildwood - I recently read that Senator Sweeney advanced legislation that will force communities to "share emergency services" where it makes sense. Once this legislation passes, it will be forced upon the island to merge police, fire, EMS and beach patrols. High salary supervisors with duplication of responsibilities will be eliminated island wide. The state will withhold all state funds (general, education, etc.) if not followed through by the local officials. This can only result in lower property taxes for the island communities and we can't wait.
