North Wildwood - I recently read in the local paper that NW is replacing the storm water runoff drain main located under the bike path along JFK Blvd. due to damage by Superstorm Sandy. I also remember the city quoting after the storm that the dune system constructed before the storm saved the beachfront from any damage. Unless the drain is clogged with sand, it was installed less then 20 years ago and was built to last 50+ years, according to the head lifeguard. The macadam-paved bike path is in such great shape it makes other towns jealous of what we have. Why waste taxpayer funds on perfectly fine items?
