North Wildwood - I have noticed that the ladder truck that goes with the ambulance does not do it during the night, only daytime. That shows that it is not needed on the day calls. They rig ambulance, does not need more than two crew members. If you check much lager cities, such as Wayne, and almost all much larger cites do not run a ladder truck on first aid calls. Two crew members is all that is needed. The first responder is a patrol car with a police officer. He could assist in lifting the stretcher if needed. I did this for almost 20 years without a fire truck.
