North Wildwood - I applaud the person or persons who removed the cross from the North Wildwood beach. Our founders were very careful to provide for the separation of church and state. If you wish to display the cross (or any religious symbol) at your church, or even on your front lawn, that is your right. Spouters ask that we look the other way, or be more "tolerant." How tolerant would these spouters be if there was a Star and Crescent (Islam) or Star of David (Judaism) on the beach instead of the cross?
