North Wildwood - I am so tired of people complaining about what they refer to as public pensions. Public workers pay into the pension without ever missing a payment for their entire careers. If you paid into something or saved money for 20, 25 or even 30 years, why would someone have a problem with it being collected when you retire? The governor wants to blame the workers; I ask how it can be their fault when they made the payment every payday? If you want a public service job, take the test and get one.

Moderator's Note:
Public pensioners (like most pensioners) collect much more than their contributions. NJ state pensions are funded by a combination of employee contributions, taxpayer contributions and returns on the investment of those contributions. A key issue in the state's current pension woes is that investment returns are falling well short of projections; thus, the pensions are substantially underfunded, presumably leaving taxpayers to make up the difference.
