Hereford Inlet has been there forever.

North Wildwood - Hereford Inlet has been there forever. The beaches in North Wildwood used to be huge, all the way to Second Street. Now, they're getting pounded by storm after storm. This will not stop until the Second Street jetty gets extended, angle squared off and raised. Then, the sand will stay in place or at the very least, have to be moved around as needed, and the millions of dollars spent on beach replenishment will be saved after the expense of the jetty improvements are paid off. This is why the Crest beach has increased in size. The Cape May Inlet jetty holds the sand in by knocking down the surf.
