North Wildwood - The end of the biggest weekend of the fall season was Sept. 25 with the Irish Festival, car show on the Boardwalk, and the Crest Mariner's event. Thousands of visitors trying to exit North Wildwood. Bumper to bumper gridlock from vehicles lined up on New York Ave. and NJ Ave. trying to leave the Island. Not one police officer to direct traffic out onto North Wildwood Boulevard to move the traffic. But maybe 100 officers still standing around at the festival as it is ending. After 25 years we still don't have any traffic control at critical intersections as drivers' tempers flair.
