North Wildwood - Attention pedestrians who just jump out in front of a car and expect you to stop because "it's the law." It's not the law. Pedestrians yell profanities and even throw things at you. The law requires pedestrians not to leave a curb or other place of safety and walk or run into the path of a vehicle which is so close that it is impossible for the driver to yield or stop. In addition, the law requires unless a pedestrian is within a marked crosswalk or within an unmarked crosswalk at an intersection, the pedestrian shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles upon the roadway.
