North Wildwood - Another $70,000 spent by DEP at the old hat factory in Woodbine. The Herald reports, "This will fund a fourth phase of the remedial investigation." How much has been spent on the first three phases? And this isn't the actual remediation of the site, it's still just the investigative phase? After paying for that remediation, and the property is developed, how long does the government estimate it will take to recoup the costs to taxpayers? Thirty to 50 years? Maybe it's best to let it remain vacant.
