To Wildwood beach fee spouter: I find it offensive that you think the beach supervisors do not get paid well; they do. For decades, the towns on the island carefully managed the tax revenue to ensure the beaches remained free. Then in the 90s they added a room tax to hotels to supplement the revenue. Then they allowed hotels to be replaced by townhouses and condos and tax revenue increased seven fold. The payroll increased tenfold even though we have the relative same population. The issue is poor spending practices that need to be reversed. Beach fees will kill tourism.
