When did the purpose of the lockdown change from “flattening the curve” and allowing enough respirators to be produced? Why is it now about “keeping us safe”? The same people who were vehemently against the Patriot Act keeping us safe are now insisting that the entire population give up their rights to protect the very small segment of the population that would get more than a chest cold from the virus. I guess they forgot the Ben Franklin quote they used to parrot,“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
