As we departed the beach at 5:30 p.m. the weekend of Aug. 22, we passed trash cans that were overloaded and spilling garbage on the beach. Where were all the florescent, green public works shirts we saw earlier in the day picking up trash from the beach before it got crowded? It's a shame the city allows the trash to be overloaded and strewed all over the beach at the end of the day.
