Unlike much of the rest of our great nation, the demographics in Cape May County has not changed much in decades. It certainly explains the strange number of Trump supporters here...a bunch of affluent retired white folks without college degrees, still clinging to the past. These white, non-Hispanic people have no horse in the race. They don't need to worry about jobs, women's reproductive rights or even healthcare since they are mostly on the socialist Medicare program. The county will remain red, and the rest of the people living here, will not benefit from this. Go figure.
