There is no question that police officers throughout the country have a dangerous job and deserve our utmost respect, including the officers on our island. I also believe that we, as residents also deserve some equal respect. Sitting on private property for hours at a time in the hopes of catching a speeder gives the indication that they are more concerned with reaching ticket quotas, rather than patrolling the streets. I am certain that some of these car stops have resulted in the apprehension of criminals, but at times it gives the impression of 'them against us.'
