The spouter that keeps mentioning that additional taxes on gas wells will be passed on to the consumer is wrong. The wholesale price of natural gas is fixed by a global market, so additional costs cannot be passed on. The companies can choose to make less profit or go out of business. I suspect they will choose the less profit.
