Some believe in absolute objective truth. Others believe truth is subjective and relative. Your experience of something may be subjective, but reality is not defined by how you experience or perceive something. Some think that they can legitimately make transitioning a good thing because they will it to be so. They want the world to be a certain way (they want to be god), and think the universe cares about their good intentions.
