North Wildwood / Philadelphia - To the spout about the North Wildwood Fire Dept., I have seen what goes on. I'm a taxpayer in North Wildwood and a retired firefighter. To me, that only makes sense for the paid men and women to take a fire truck from a volunteer company, so they can stay in service, and isn't a ladder company more than two guys on the truck responding to a call, and I have stopped around the firehouse many times to talk to the guys and have seen them on calls and how they work. They respond with the truck when there are serious calls, not for bloody noses. Maybe we should rethink where our fire tax goes.
