To the NW spouter complaining about the triathlons: A good amount of planning goes into these events to minimize any traffic and business impact. In fact, the races started at 6:30 a.m. this year when most people were sleeping and businesses were still closed. A new bike route was created for the 1,000+ participants to eliminate any direct impact on the businesses who complained last year. The 1,000+ athletes and their families did make an economic impact and compliments out numbered complaints 100 to 1. I was a race participant and would like to say thank you for a great race!
