As a long time member of the Wildwood Elks, I have seen this organization change drastically in the past ten years. It has become an organization of many, controlled by a few. The past election is a great example of the new philosophy. They send out notifications for the election of life time members, yet nothing on a Board of Trustee election. The newly elected trustee ran on the platform that there were too many women on the board. This person is one of the controlling few and the reason less members are getting involved and if gone, many more would again volunteer.
