As an Italian American, in an era when being politically correct and sensitive is necessary regarding all cultures and races, I am one who is offended by Wildwood’s “Doo Wop” slogan. Yes it refers to a genre of music from decades ago but it also uses a word that historically has always been very derogatory regarding Italians. You can do better Wildwood with a less offensive identity. Even the Washington Redskins have retired their name and logo!
