If parents don't do the job of teaching sensitivity and fairness, about sexual orientation and race, then that leaves it up to schools where kids spend most of their daytime hours. We read of a Chicago hockey star and a former baseball star, working for ESPN, being punished for their derogatory and demeaning remarks on orientation. This is not about political correctness, but about acceptance of others regardless of who they are and what they believe. Why are these men so defensive and judgmental?
