I was reading about Mr Byron's vision to purchase the downtown lot on Pacific Avenue as open space with county open space funds. One, this would take the property OFF the tax rolls at a time when Wildwood needs as many ratables as possible. Two, this will add to the expense of the Wildwood balance sheet, since the city will have to maintain the rink and property. Three, the residents already signed a petition that they do not support an ice rink.
