I own a home in North Wildwood, but because I spend most of my time in Phila. at my other home, I cannot vote. I have no say on who should be the mayor or who should be elected to council or the school board. Why is that? I just learned that there is a council person who doesn't own a home and doesn't pay taxes to the city, yet is on council and gets a salary, votes and free health care and a pension. How is that fair? I believe if people who own homes and pay taxes should have a vote if they are going to have elected officials not pay taxes and hold office. I vote for that.
