I hope the North Wildwood police and fire departments joining in a venture to patrol the waters off our shoreline is not going to be an opportunity for the prosecutor's office to launch their own boat (at no cost to the taxpayers.) There is enough wasteful spending within our county government now. Imagine the increase in lawsuits we, taxpayers will be responsible for if they allow them to get involved in shore patrol. Why is the NJSP Marine Division not able to provide adequate coverage in the southern area waters? We pay the same state taxes as they do in North Jersey.
