I don't understand the City of Wildwood. They want to raise more tax and fee revenues from the beach because they are in dire need due to the high cost of municipal employee salaries and benefits, but they want to take a property off the tax roll that pays more than $10,000 a year in property taxes. The property is to be converted into a public space on Pacific Ave. which will do nothing but become a hang out for the drug dealers/users and just cause problems. I suggest keeping the property on the tax roll even if the county offers the city the funds to acquire the property.
