I am glad that both the Herald and I live in a Blue State. Police in Marion, Kansas, raided the Herald sized local newspaper's office Friday and seized computers and employees' personal cellphones in violation of federal laws protecting the media. A search warrant, posted online by the nonprofit news site the Kansas Reflector was signed by Marion County District Court Magistrate. The warrant was approved and cited probable cause that violations related to identity theft and unlawful acts concerning computers were committed because the Paper would not print an unverified story.
