How is it that the fire chief from North Wildwood puts in for retirement as of June 1, and the mayor wants to name a replacement right away? How about filling the position for public works supervisor? Or is the city waiting for another police officer to retire to put that individual in charge? The city should fill a position that has been vacant for some time before filling the fire chief since a position was created for deputy chief. Taxpayers, wake up and ask where the money is, yea, to a created position and a retired police chief in charge of public works!
