The Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge has lost the appeal of a caring lodge that caters to those people in need. I am a longtime Elks. I volunteered for several committees that work with people in need, handicapped children, or just plain poor, and other worthwhile ventures. The present group in the lodge has told the older dedicated Elks volunteers to take a hike and replaced them with people who want to turn our lodge into their private social club. This is unfair. I hope that changes come soon enough to restore our lodge into the friendly and caring lodge it was.
