Finally there is a turtle crossing sign in N. Wildwood, Rt. 147, informing drivers when turtles are likely to cross. The highway goes through the wetlands, which is a protected area, along with its inhabitants. Even worse, there is a cement barrier that prohibits them from getting to the other side. The EPA, DEP, Wetlands Inst., and State Dept. of Trans. are trying find a solution to keep turtles from crossing. Until then please help the turtles cross. Put them in the direction they are going. I have saved several, and made u-turns or found safe havens. Thank you to those who care.
