North Cape May - Why do people, especially locals, blame workers, e.g., cashiers, for the crowds in the summer? I am a cashier, and I work hard to take care of all of my customers as quickly as possible. After working six to eight hours and being yelled at, demeaned and treated like a second-class person, it is hard to continue to be nice. Maybe if people tried to be nice, they would have nothing to complain about. Also, realize the cashier doesn’t order supplies, work in other departments and has no control over what happened before someone got in line. I love helping people. I wish people would think about how they treat us.
