North Cape May - While on my daily walk, I saw at several school bus stops, students texting, eyeballs glued to their handheld contraptions, and not talking to other students, just feet from one another. What is going on? It used to be that students would interact with each other in a human way. It reminds me of the monkey exhibit at the zoo where the animals are fixated on a toy in their hands. What is wrong with being human? The new norm is being introverted and isolated. After the rash of school shootings, you have to wonder where the new form of media is taking us.
