North Cape May - We must not use Open Space taxpayer dollars to fund the "Beach Drive Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project." Open Space funds are for recreation and preservation, not for dune relocation and road building. The Town Code prohibits alteration of sand dunes within the flood zone which would increase the potential for flooding. These sand dunes are in the flood zone. There is no evidence that this project will not increase the potential for flooding. This project invites costly flooding and litigation.
