North Cape May - As a retired staff sergeant, I had to smile at the spout suggesting mandatory post high school military training. Believe me, no one from the brass down to the lowly staff sergeant wants to put up with disgruntled, unwilling, overprotected boys and girls who are being forced away from their pampered cocoons. I often wonder what would happen if we faced a true emergency, and had to rely again on a draft? Who can forget the absolute chaos in the late 60s?
