North Cape May - I saw in the Sept. 14 Herald that Cape May Councilman Furlin wants defined criteria that tell you when the beach safety task is complete. After all the time that has been spent on this issue it's shamefully sad he doesn't know that storms, lunar tides, etc., continually alter the topography of the ocean, bay, and backwaters. To find out when this will stop Furlin better solicit aid in searching the yellow pages for Mother Nature's number. With this lack of knowledge, understanding and concern is it any wonder why significant progress on the issue has not occurred?
