North Cape May - I have observed that DRBA is not following proper protocol when flying the U.S. flag at Cape May Terminal. The U.S. flag is always flown on the center staff and should be flown higher. I forgot to check the flags in Lewes, but I hope you will take the appropriate action there if necessary. No corrective action has been taken since they were notified two weeks ago.

Moderator's Note:
According to DRBA Public Information Officer James Salmon, the spouter is correct, if the center flag pole is the tallest one. When three flag masts of equal height are used, as they are at the Cape May Terminal, the American Flag is always flown on the left as you face the building’s entrance, not in the center. This is done to show its prominence over the other flags. If the center mast was taller than the other two in a three mast grouping, the American Flag would be flown on the center mast. Please note that at the Cape May terminal, it is unclear as to which pole is the tallest, so the pole to the left should display the flag of prominence.
